Online Therapy
All counseling services provided are Telemental Health Services commonly referred to as Telehealth, Online Therapy, Virtual Therapy, Teletherapy, Remote or Distance Counseling. Services will utilize a secure HIPAA Compliant Telehealth platform. Services are for residents across North Carolina and Florida.
Research supports that many clients receive the same level of care and satisfaction in their therapeutic relationships through online counseling as they may in-office. In fact, many clients enjoy the ease in which they can participate in their sessions.
This being acknowledged, online therapy is not going to be a great fit for everyone. If a client is uncomfortable with the use of technology, has a slow/unreliable internet connection or does not have a safe, private space to engage in their sessions this may be an indicator that in-office services may be a better fit.

Note: It is standard best practice for online mental health providers to utilize criterion measures to assess for client appropriateness to engage in telehealth services.
